Common Questions
Is Impulse free?
Yes. Impulse is completely free. There is no subscription and no paywall on any feature. We may introduce optional paid features later — if we do, anything available today stays free.
How do I delete my account?
Open Impulse → Me tab → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete Account." You'll need to type DELETE to confirm. This is permanent and cannot be undone.
Is my data private?
Yes. We use Row Level Security on all database tables — you can only see your own data. We never sell personal data. Read our full Privacy Policy.
Are the AI guides real therapists?
No. Our AI guides are behavioral coaches powered by AI. They are not licensed therapists, counselors, or medical professionals. They cannot diagnose conditions or prescribe treatments. If you need professional help, we encourage you to seek a licensed provider.
Is the Override always free?
Yes. The Override breathing exercise, crisis resources (988, 741741), and ICS tracking are always free.
What is ICS?
ICS (Impulse Control Score) is a behavioral metric from 0-100 that tracks your impulse control patterns across five signals: consistency, override usage, engagement, growth, and discipline. It never resets to zero — a difficult day lowers it by 5 points, not to zero.
